Xwift takes over TTC
TTC is no small player: the Transporter of the Year 2021 has a fleet of 249 vehicles and employs around 300 people. Like Xwift, TTC specializes in distribution services with four offices in Kruibeke (where the head office is located), Bornem, Sint-Katelijne-Waver and Welkenraedt. The acquisition also includes TTC subsidiaries, such as Deertrans and Corman & Califice. “This acquisition strengthens Xwift's position in the Antwerp region and further expands our network in Wallonia, which fits seamlessly with the previous acquisition of Vadesco. We look forward to continuing to build a successful future with the TTC team. We thank everyone who contributed to this important step for their commitment and trust,” says Pieter Denys, CEO of Xwift..
It seems that the origin of this acquisition lies with the company being acquired, as explained by TTC owners Jef Bauwens and Dirk Bryssinckx: “After years of growth, we were up against our limits. The transport sector faces challenges such as ESG goals and electrification. By joining the Xwift group, we will have the opportunity to grow with them and use their knowledge and expertise to address these challenges.” Both owners are enthusiastic about the takeover: “From the start, there was a good connection with Pieter, he is a man with ambition and a clear plan.”
And there is more to come...
And speaking of ambitions, Pieter Denys's still seem high, as he explained to us: “The acquisition of TTC will allow us to create a strong pool in 24/7 distribution, where we've only been active through Vadesco Logistics so far. So we will have two areas of work: express and dedicated transport on the one hand and 24/7 distribution on the other. They are two completely different activities, but we have customers who are interested in both. And I can already tell you that between now and the end of the year, we will announce two or three more acquisitions, especially in provinces where we are not yet present. So by the end of 2024, we should have a turnover of 135 million and employ more than 1,000 people.”
As far as TTC is concerned, things are clear: the management team remains on board and all branches will be maintained for at least three years. “Eventually, we will bring all our activities under the Xwift brand, but there is no hurry,” said Pieter Denys.
