Founded in 2007 by Pieter Denys, Xwift has grown in recent years into an important player in the sector with more than a thousand employees and an annual turnover of 135 million euros. Since 2021, the company has accelerated its expansion through a successful buy-and-build strategy, in which acquisitions and organic growth go hand in hand.

At the Evergem site, Xwift becomes a neighbour to BMS, which expands its activities within the campus by 11,000 m² to support further automation. According to David Batens, Asset Manager at Heylen Warehouses, the arrival of Xwift underlines the appeal and flexibility of the logistics ecosystem in North Sea Port.

With this expansion, Ghent Logistic Campus 21 confirms its position as an important logistics hub for national and international players that focus on innovation in transport and logistics.

Sinds 2021 heeft het bedrijf zijn expansie versneld via een succesvolle buy-and-buildstrategie, waarin overnames en organische groei hand in hand gaan.

Met deze uitbreiding bevestigt Ghent Logistic Campus 21 zijn positie als belangrijke logistieke hub voor nationale en internationale spelers die inzetten op innovatie in transport en logistiek.

Met de nieuwe site in Gent-Zeehaven verstevigt Xwift niet alleen zijn logistieke capaciteit, maar ook zijn strategische positie in België, waardoor het bedrijf zijn klanten sneller en efficiënter kan bedienen en zijn groeistrategie verder kan realiseren.
