Transport Vercauteren was founded in 1974 by André Vercauteren and has 25 employees. The current managers had no succession and were looking for a sustainable solution to secure the family business's future.

CEO Pieter Denys explains:

The takeover decision follows a successful partnership through Flinstone, a previously acquired transport company. Thanks to the proximity to top customer Volvo Trucks and the synergy with Flinstone, we reduce empty kilometers and strengthen our integrated approach. This represents a valuable extension of the range within the Xwift group.”

The Vercauteren team is moving to the Xwift site in Desteldonk.Bart Vercauteren, business manager, will remain active for a few more months.After the takeover, Xwift counts:

• 1,000 employees
• 825 towing vehicles
• 135 million euro consolidated turnover
