Xwift takes over Transport Vercauteren
History of Vercauteren
Transport Vercauteren was founded in 1974 by André Vercauteren and has 25 employees. The current managers had no succession and were looking for a sustainable solution to secure the family business's future.
Strategic reasons for the Acquisition
CEO Pieter Denys explains: “Vercauteren has been a reliable player in dedicated transport for years, with logistical services such as repackaging and relabeling as an additional asset. The takeover decision follows a successful partnership through Flinstone, a previously acquired transport company. Thanks to the proximity to top customer Volvo Trucks and the synergy with Flinstone, we reduce empty kilometers and strengthen our integrated approach. This represents a valuable extension of the range within the Xwift group.”
