As Pieter Denys hinted when announcing the takeover of TTC, Xwift would take over other Belgian transport companies before the end of the year. This time, it's another nice medium-sized company that fell into the lap of the Flemish company: Hermos in Genk.

Strategic reasons for the Acquisition

Hermos Transport has been active in distribution for 40 years. It can count on permanent contracts with Alken-Maes and Carglass, among others, and has a fleet of 65 vehicles. “With Xwift, Hermos shares a strong sense of family and a clear customer focus. The company has been run since 2011 by Ina Hermans, who took over her parents' company and, together with her husband Patrick, successfully continued the family business,” says Pieter Denys, CEO of Xwift. “Unfortunately, there is no next generation to keep the company in family hands. To ensure the family character and growing customer base in recent years, Ina and Patrick chose to join the Xwift group.” The team of 72 employees is making the switch to the Xwift group.
